Callaway's Best Tour Control Ball - Featuring The Callaway Tour IS Golf Ball
New groove rules instituted by the USGA are designed to reduce spin off wedges and short irons, placing more of a premium on shot-making. Now, the new 4-piece Tour i(s) utilizes second generation Dual Core technology, making it easier for golfers of all abilities to generate maximum short-game spin.
Our softest Callaway Tour ball features refined HEX Aerodynamics for reduced drag and stable, efficient ball flight in all wind conditions.
4-piece construction includes 2 cores, Dupont™ HPF boundary layer, and thermoset urethane cover.
Longer Distance and Greater Accuracy
A new, refined HEX Aerodynamics pattern with six Sub-HEX geometries reduces drag and cuts through the wind with a strong, penetrating ball flight.
Soft Feel, Long Distance
The second generation Dual Core has a lower compression, creating a ball that feels and plays softer than any other Tour-caliber ball Callaway has ever designed while still generating Tour-level distance.
Maximum Greenside Spin and Control
The Hyper-Urethane cover improves spin off wedges and shorter clubs. Maximum spin around the greens allows for total control.
Not Your Father’s Golf Ball Cover
Traditional dimple patterns cover up to 86 percent of the surface of the golf ball. With HEX Aerodynamics you get a seamless cover and 100 percent surface coverage, which means a more symmetrical golf ball that goes farther. The sub-HEX design features six deep hexagonal depressions for a penetrating, tour-type trajectory.
The newest version of HEX Aerodynamics features 38 separate facets per hexagon, allowing Callaway Golf engineers to further fine-tune the aerodynamic characteristics so your shots penetrate the wind for even longer, straighter ball flight.

HEX Aerodynamics
Callaway Golf engineers replaced traditional dimples with the HEX cover geometry, which reduces drag for longer, more efficient ball flight. Learn more.
RIM Technology
Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) is used to precisely center the mantle layer-covered core of the Tour i(s) and Tour i(z) golf balls. This more consistent cover thickness delivers a better-flying ball.
Dual Core Technology
The new Tour i(s) and Tour i(z) Golf Balls feature two cores working together to deliver tee-to-green performance. The result is increased distances and reduced dispersion.
The Best of Both Worlds - The Tour i(s) and Tour i(z) Golf Balls react differently off of a driver than off of shorter irons such as wedges. When the ball is struck with a driver, the impact is strong enough for the force to reach the inner core of the golf ball. The inner core is soft, allowing the ball to compress, or deform, which prevents the ball from spinning as much.
However, when you hit the same ball with a wedge, the force is not great and the firmer, outer core helps the ball retain its shape, enabling more spin to be generated by the club catching the soft cover.
Inertia Technology
A Tungsten-infused outer core in the Tour i(s) and Tour i(z) Golf Balls results in reduced spin off the driver and amazing distance down the fairway with better feel.
Golf Ball Construction
Two-, three- and now four-piece golf balls each offer various performance attributes. Callaway Golf engineers use multi-material construction to customize the performance of each golf ball.
About Callaway
For 25 years, Callaway has helped more golfers experience the sweet sensation of striking the ball perfectly more often. Every day, Callaway works to find new ways to deliver that ideal moment when everything comes together.
The feeling that starts when the club meets the ball, then travels through your arms and straight to your heart. Ely Callaway, the company's founder, understood that in the heart of every golfer lies the desire to enjoy more pure shots more often.
That’s why he built a company based on that very philosophy. He brought big thinkers and big technology to an ancient game, challenging the status quo every step of the way. Today, more than a quarter-century later, the game and Callaway's product line have grown, but the quest for Pure remains.
From the original Big Bertha Driver to HEX Patterned Golf Balls, Fusion Technology and the game’s best-selling brand of irons, Callaway Golf represents the passion that lives in the heart of every golfer. Whether it’s the first time or the next time, Pure is Callaway's promise.
